Chandrayaan 2 Whatsapp Status –
Chandrayaan 2 is the India’s second planned mission to moon. The expected launch is in 2019. Chandrayaan 2 is the second launch after Chandrayaan 1. It will launch from Satish Dhawan space center in sriharikota. Chandrayaan 2 is in the south pole region in which no country has ever tried. Chandrayaan is using the Vikram lander and Pragyan rover for soft landing. It is the 1st mission to conduct a soft landing in the south polar region. It is India’s first mission to explore the lunar terrain. Chandrayaan 2 is an Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).
Chandrayaan 1 is the first lunar launch in October 2008. It took a major turn in India space programe after this launch. India took it as an opportunity to explore moon for the first time. In august 2009, almost a year the orbiter starting facing some technical problem the mission ended over there only. That mission achieved its 94% objectives.
After Chandrayaan 1 Chandrayaan 2 mission was given 3 major awards –
1. THE AMERICN INSTITUTE OF AERONAUTICS AND ASTRONAUTICS in 2009.
2. THE INTERNATIONAL LUNAR EXPLORATION WORKING GROUP IN 2008.
3. SPACE PIONEER AWARD IN 2009.
Chandrayaan 2 is leaded by mutthya vanitha (project director) and ritu karidhal (mission director). ISRO for the first time is directed by a woman. Chandrayaan expected dates are 14th July till 6th September. Chandrayaan 1 the lunar orbiter found the water molecules on the moon it was a successful mission in 2008. On Chandrayaan 2 the mission is of soft landing of a lander and rover in plain surface between two craters. The average distance is 3,84,000 kms Vikram the lander will take around 48 days to land the moon. Costing for this mission is around 978 crores. The landing will place where no one has ever landed before.
The most difficult and complex mission is being taken by ISRO. Chandrayaan 1 had 11 payloads in which 5 were Indians, 3 were from Europe, 2 from USA and 1 from Bulgaria. In chandrayaan 2 there are 13 payloads. Chandrayaan 2 is the improved version of chandrayaan 1.
